THE TRANSITION TO REUSABLE FOODWARE WILL REDUCE DISPOSABLE FOODWARE USAGE AND ITS ASSOCIATED HARMS INCLUDING GHG EMISSIONS, WASTE, AND HUMAN AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS FROM PRODUCTION, CHEMICALS OF CONCERN, DISPOSAL AND LEAKAGE.COMPLETED CHAIRMANSHIP OF THE COMMITTEE FOR THE SAFE USE OF REUSABLE FOODWARE FOR THE CONFERENCE OF FOOD PROTECTION INCLUDING WORKING WITH THE FDA AND USDA TO PRODUCE GUIDANCE DOCUMENTS FOR THE SAFE USE OF REUSABLE FOODWARE, A NEW DEFINITION OF REUSABLE FOODWARE, COMPREHENSIVE SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE REVIEW AND CHANGES TO THE FDA FEDERAL FOOD CODE TO ALLOW FOR CONSUMER, BUSINESS AND THIRD-PARTY PROVIDED REUSABLE.
