LYONS EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE FUND (LEAF) OFFERS A HUMAN SERVICES SAFETY NET TO THOSE IN NEED IN THE GREATER LYONS AREA.

MISSION:

TO EDUCATE ON THE SIGNIFICANT ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACTS OF EVERYDAY CONSUMPTION CHOICES IN ORDER TO ENABLE A NECESSARY TRANSITION TO SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLES, AND TO SUPPORT INDUSTRY AND AND CIVIC SOCIETY IN THE COLLABORATION, DESIGN, AND IMPLEMENTATION OF REUSE SYSTEMS.

MISSION:

WESTERN MINING ACTION PROJECT PROVIDES FREE LEGAL SERVICES TO CITIZEN GROUPS & NATIVE AMERICANS ON MINING & RELATED ISSUES IN THE AMERICAN WEST TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT & HUMAN HEALTH.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

AS VOLUNTEERS AND WITHIN THE CAPABILITIES OF OUR EQUIPMENT AND TRAINING, WE PLEDGE TO PROTECT THE PEOPLE OF THE BIG ELK COMMUNITY AREA FROM EMERGENCIES AND NATURAL DISASTERS, AND TO RENDER ASSISTANCE IN THE EVENT OF MEDICAL EMERGENCIES. BEYOND THE IMMEDIATE SAFETY OF OUR NEIGHBORS, WE ALSO STRIVE TO PROTECT THE FOREST WHICH SURROUNDS US AND THE HOMES IN WHICH WE LIVE.
