SUMMIT HEALTH FOUNDATION ("SUMMIT") IS A CALIFORNIA NONPROFIT CORPORATION ORGANIZED TO CONDUCT AND DISTRIBUTE RESEARCH, STUDIES, AND ANALYSIS RELATING TO HEALTH SCIENCES. SUMMIT SEEKS TO FOCUS PUBLIC DEBATE ON SOLUTIONS TO HEALTH ISSUES EFFECTING PAIN MANAGEMENT NATIONALLY. SUMMIT INTENDS TO DEVELOP SOLUTIONS AND PROPOSALS TO ADDRESS THE CURRENT PAIN MANAGEMENT ISSUES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, RESOLVING PAIN MANAGEMENT PROBLEMS EFFECTING SOCIETY CURRENTLY. THE RESEARCH, EDUCATION, AND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES WILL BE AIMED TOWARD PROMOTING RESOLUTION OF DEPENDENCE ON ADDICTIVE TREATMENTS AND CHANGES IN THOSE TREATMENTS. SUMMIT WILL CONCENTRATE ITS EDUCATIONAL AND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES IN COMMUNITIES MOST DIRECTLY AFFECTED BY PAIN MANAGEMENT ISSUES. RESOURCES WILL BE DIRECTED TOWARD GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATIONS THAT WORK PRINCIPALLY WITH THESE GROUPS.
