MOBILIZE HOOSIERS TO ENGAGE THE INDIANA GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO PASS LEGISLATION THAT ADVANCES FAIR AND EQUAL VOTING RIGHTS AND BETTER PUBLIC POLICY OUTCOMES IN WOMEN'S HAELTH, ECONOMIC STABILITY AND PERSONAL SAFETY.

W4C ACTION FUND LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES FOR 2023 WERE CENTERED ON WOMEN'S HEALTH, WOMEN'S ECONOMIC STABILITY, SEXUAL HARASSMENT, ASSAULT,AND CONSENT. WE SUPPORTED POLICIES THAT EXPAND HOOSIER WOMEN'S ACCESS TO EQUITABLE PAY, PAID FAMILY LEAVE, AFFORDABLE CHILDCARE, BIRTH CONTROL, AND INCREASED PUBLIC FUNDING FOR MATERNAL CARE. WE OPPOSED LEGISLATION THAT DISCRIMINATED AGAINST TRANSGENDER YOUTH AND LIMITED VOTER ACCESSIBILITY. IN TOTAL WE TRACKED 96 BILLS THROUGH THE LEGISLATIVE PROCESS, AND WE PROVIDED TESTIMONY FOR SIX CONSEQUENTIAL BILLS. WOMEN4CHANGE WAS HONORED TO HAVE BEEN AN INSTRUMENTAL PARTNER IN THE THREE-YEAR LONG PROCESS TO PASS THREE BIPARTISAN BILLS THAT PROTECTED THE RIGHTS AND EQUITY OF HOOSIER WOMEN, INCLUDING SB 252, HB 1568, AND HB 1228.
