STEF'S PROGRAM FOCUSES ON THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS NEEDED TO ENJOY TENNIS, INCLUDING FITNESS, STROKES, SCORING AND STRATEGY, WITH AN ENPHASIS ON FUN AND PLAY. IN ADDITION, OUR ROLE-MODEL MENTORS FROM THE COMMUNITY ENGAGE STEF STUDENTS IN THEMED LEARNING UNITS SUCH AS ACTING, CREATIVE WRITING, MUSIC, AND DANCE. OUR TENNIS PLAY AND EDUCATIONAL AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM BEGINS OCTOBER 30. SEASSIONS TAKE PLACE THREE DAYS EACH WEEK(WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, AND FRIDAY) FOR TWO HOUR AT MERCY MAGNUSON PLACE IN MAGNUSON PARK FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL YOUTH IN GRADES 3-5. EACH DAY WILL FEATURE TENNIS OR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/GUIDED PLAY AS WELL AS UNIQUE PROGRAM MODULES DESIGNED TO AWAKEN CURIOSITY, SELF-ESTEEM AND TO DEEPEN LEARNING.
