SCL HEALTH FOUNDATION CARRIES OUT THE CHARITABLE PURPOSES OF SISTERS OF CHARITY OF LEAVENWORTH HEALTH SYSTEM, INC. (SCL HEALTH), A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION AND THE SYSTEM OF CONTROLLED CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS WHICH SCL HEALTH HAS CREATED OR OTHERWISE AFFILIATED WITH BY PROVIDING A FAITH-BASED IDEAL OF SERVICE, WHICH DEMANDS A RESPECT FOR THE DIGNITY OF ALL PERSONS, COMPASSIONATE CARE AND SENSITIVITY TO HUMAN SUFFERING, AND AN ABIDING INTEREST IN CARE OF THE WHOLE PATIENT, INCLUDING HIS/HER HIGHER SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL WELFARE.
