THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS AND PRESENTATIONS DUE TO THE RESTRICTIONS AND SAFETY CONCERNS SURROUNDING COVID-19, NO FULL LIVE IN-PERSON PRODUCTIONS TOOK PLACE ONCE AGAIN IN FY 2021-22. INTERNAL DEVELOPMENT OF OUR PRODUCTIONS DID CONTINUE WITH ENSEMBLE MEETINGS TAKING PLACE ONLINE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. TWO IN-PERSON READINGS OF THEATRICAL WORK AS OUTLINED BELOW AS WELL AS A "REENTRY EVENT", A CONCERT COLLABORATION WITH HEX VOCAL ENSEMBLE, TOOK PLACE DURING THE YEAR. WE PERFORMED THE CONCERT EVENT FOR TWO PERFORMANCES IN APRIL 2022 AND ALSO PRESENTED IT AT THE N.E.O. VOICE FESTIVAL IN JUNE 2022 (CONTINUE ON SCH O)WE ALSO CONTINUED THE DYBBUKAST, OFFERING A SECOND SEASON OF THE PODCAST AND ONLINE LEARNING EXPERIENCE, THAT UTILIZES A COMBINATION OF PERFORMED READINGS AND INTERVIEWS WITH ARTISTS AND SCHOLARS TO BRING THE CREATIVE WORKS GENERATED, READ, AND LISTENED TO IN DIASPORIC JEWISH COMMUNITIES TO LIFE, ALL WHILE REVEALING THEIR RELATIONSHIPS TO ISSUES STILL PRESENT TODAY. THE SHOW IS AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD ON PODCAST PLATFORMS AND OUR WEBSITE AND A WIDE ARRAY OF LEARNING RESOURCES ARE AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE. THE PODCAST'S EPISODES WERE DOWNLOADED 11,896 TIMES.AN IN-PERSON READING OF THEATRE DYBBUK'S 2016 PRODUCTION OF "EXAGOGE" WAS PRESENTED BEFORE THE ANNUAL CONVENTION OF THE CENTRAL CONFERENCE OF AMERICAN RABBIS IN MARCH 2022.A READING OF EXCERPTS FROM OUR IN-PROCESS PRODUCTION OF "BREAKING PROTOCOLS AND COMMUNITY DISCUSSION WAS PRESENTED FOR THE PROJECT DIRECTORS' MEETING OF THE COVENANT FOUNDATION IN APRIL 2022.IN TOTAL, THESE PRESENTATIONS WERE ATTENDED BY APPROXIMATELY 375 PEOPLE..ALL PUBLIC ENGAGEMENTS WERE OFFERED AT LOW OR NO-COST TO THE PUBLIC.

CREATIVELY JEWISH EDUCATORSTHIS PROGRAM PROVIDES A WIDE ARRAY OF MULTIDISCIPLINARY WORKSHOPS AND CREATIVE APPROACHES TO JEWISH CONTENT FOR MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS. THESE TECHNIQUES ARE DEVELOPED WITH, AND FOR, OUR INSTITUTIONAL PARTNERS.WE PARTNERED WITH 5 ORGANIZATIONS FOR ON-LINE EDUCATOR TRAINING, REACHING 198 TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS DIRECTLY. OVERALL THE PROGRAM INDIRECTLY REACHED BETWEEN 3,000 AND 5,000 STUDENTS VIA THEIR TEACHERS, AS THOSE EDUCATORS UTILIZED OUR TECHNIQUES IN THEIR CLASSROOMS AND SCHOOLS (CONTINUE ON SCH O). IN ADDITION, THE CREATIVELY JEWISH PROGRAM ALSO PRESENTED A SERIES OF 7 YOUTH CLASSES EACH AT 3 SYNAGOGUES FOR A TOTAL OF 31 UNIQUE PARTICIPANTS.

ONE EXAMPLE: ONE COMMUNITY MANY STORIES - WE CREATE A COMMUNAL EXPERIENCE, CENTERED AROUND A THEME, WHICH BRINGS TOGETHER ALL WHO ATTEND. A THEATRE DYBBUK FACILITATOR TAKES PARTICIPANTS THROUGH A WRITING WORKSHOP IN WHICH THEY CREATE PERSONAL ESSAYS AND SHORT STORIES. THESE STORIES FOCUS ON MOMENTS IN THEIR OWN LIVES WHICH ARE CONNECTED TO A GIVEN THEME. PROFESSIONAL ACTORS THEN READ/PERFORM A SELECTION OF THESE STORIES FOR THE COMMUNITY.TWO PARTNERSHIPS IN THE YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2022 WERE PRESENTED ONLINE AND SERVED 650 CONSTITUENTS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND DETROIT.
