THE TENNESSEE BUSINESS LEADERSHIP COUNCIL IS ORGANIZED FOR THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF PROMOTING THE COMMON BUSINESS INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS, AND, AMONG OTHER THINGS, IT SHALL SUPPORT POLICIES THAT FOSTER ECONOMIC GROWTH AND THE GENERAL BUSINESS CLIMATE IN TENNESSEE. IT IS A MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION COMPRISED OF BUSINESS LEADERS THAT REPRESENT A CROSS-SECTION OF BUSINESS INTERESTS ACROSS TENNESSEE. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES MEMBERS A FORUM FOR VALUABLE PEER-TO-PEER INTERACTION, TIMELY AND INSIGHTFUL POLICY AND POLITICAL INFORMATION, AND MEANINGFUL INTERACTION AND DIALOGUE WITH TENNESSEE GOVERNMENTAL LEADERS. THE TENNESSEE BUSINESS LEADERSHIP COUNCIL IS A MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION COMPRISED OF BUSINESS LEADERS FROM ACROSS TENNESSEE. THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE VALUABLE PEER-TO-PEER INTERACTION; OFFER TIMELY, INSIGHTFUL POLICY AND POLITICAL INFORMATION; AND OFFER OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEANINGFUL INTERACTION AND DIALOGUE WITH STATE GOVERNMENT LEADERS. THE MEMBERSHIP IS COMPRISED OF KEY BUSINESS LEADERS FROM ACROSS THE STATE WHO HAVE INFLUENCE IN THEIR RESPECTIVE COMMUNITIES AND REPRESENT A CROSS- SECTION OF BUSINESS INTERESTS IN TENNESSEE. THE ORGANIZATION CONVENES MEETINGS FOR ITS MEMBERS A FEW TIMES PER YEAR TO GIVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WITH EACH OTHER WHILE ALSO MEETING WITH POLICYMAKERS AND RECEIVING POLICY UPDATES AND SURVEY RESULTS.
