SPACE FOR HUMANITY IS AN EDUCATIONAL NONPROFIT ORGANIZING THE PLANET'S FIRST CITIZEN ASTRONAUT PROGRAM LED BY A DIVERSE GROUP OF LEADERS FROM AROUND THE GLOBE.

CITIZEN ASTRONAUT PROGRAM SPACE FOR HUMANITY'S GOAL IS LEVERAGING THE TRANSFORMATIONAL POWER OF THE OVERVIEW EFFECT TO ENACT POSITIVE CHANGE HERE ON EARTH. THE PERSPECTIVE ASTRONAUTS GAINED IN THE SPACEFLIGHT EXPERIENCE HAS SHAPED SOCIETY IN EXTRAORDINARY WAYS. WE AIM TO GIVE MORE PEOPLE ACCESS TO THIS EXPERIENCE TO HELP HUMANITY IMPROVE OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH EACH OTHER AND OUR HOME PLANET. WE SPONSOR EXCEPTIONAL LEADERS TO JOIN THE WORLD'S FIRST CITIZEN ASTRONAUT PROGRAM AND THE APPLICATION TO OUR PROGRAM IS OPEN TO EVERYONE IN THE WORLD. OUR LEADERSHIP, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, AND IMPACT PROGRAM (LCDI) PREPARES OUR CITIZEN ASTRONAUTS FOR THEIR SPACEFLIGHT, SUPPORTS THEM IN INTEGRATING THEIR FLIGHT EXPERIENCE, AND UPON THEIR RETURN, THEY ARE TRAINED IN COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP AND ADVOCACY WORK SO THEY KNOW HOW TO IMPLEMENT THE OVERVIEW PERSPECTIVE HERE ON EARTH. IN 2022, SPACE FOR HUMANITY SPONSORED TWO INDIVIDUALS TO GO THROUGH THIS PROGRAM AND 5 WHO WENT THROUGH THE LDCI PROGRAM AS FINALISTS TO GO TO SPACE.
DIVERSIFYING & EXPANDING THE GLOBAL NETWORK SPACE FOR HUMANITY HEAVILY LEVERAGES OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE, TO SHARE OUR MESSAGE OF INCLUSIVITY WITHIN SPACE EXPLORATION WITH ALL THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED, AND PASSIONATE. IN 2022, WE INCREASED OUR GLOBAL REACH SUBSTANTIALLY, WE WERE ABLE TO REACH 150K INSTAGRAM FOLLOWERS, AND 9K TWITTER FOLLOWERS. WE HAD ENGAGEMENTS FROM MORE THAN 195 COUNTRIES. BETWEEN OUR REACH AND THE REACH OF OUR CITIZEN ASTRONAUTS, MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WERE TOUCHED BY OUR MISSION.
INCLUSION COUNCIL + ALLIANCE NETWORK SPACE FOR HUMANITY HAS A STRONG COMMITMENT TO INCLUSIVITY FOR ALL HUMANITY. WE HAVE FORMED AN INCLUSION COUNCIL THAT CONSISTS OF A DIVERSE GROUP OF LEADERS WHOSE MAIN FOCUS IS TO ADVISE THE ORGANIZATION ON THE CITIZEN ASTRONAUT SELECTION AND RECRUITMENT PROCESS. THEY ALSO WORK TO INFORM US OF BEST PRACTICES IN EQUITY, INCLUSION, DIVERSITY, AND ACCESSIBILITY. AS THE ALLIANCE NETWORK CONTINUES TO FORM, WE ARE BRINGING ON MORE ASTRONAUTS, ADVISORS, FLIGHT PROVIDERS, AND MEDIA PARTNERS WHO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF S4H'S PROGRAM.
