THE TALCOTT MOUNTAIN SCIENCE CENTER PROVIDES A VITAL INTERFACE BETWEEN CURRENT SCIENTIFIC PRINCIPLES AND TECHNOLOGIES AS THEY APPLY TO SCIENCE EDUCATION. THE SCIENCE CENTER CONDUCTS SCIENTIFIC STUDIES FOR VARIOUS GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES AND FOR USE IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN.
TALCOTT MOUNTAIN ACADEMY FUNCTIONS AS A CO-EDUCATIONAL, INDEPENDENT DAY SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES KINDERGARTEN THROUGH EIGHT WITH A CIRRICULUM THAT EMPHASIZES SCIENCE AND MATH. SINCE 1983, TMA HAS OFFERED AN EXCITING, MULTI-FACETED AND INTEGRATED CURRICULUM WHICH IS DEDICATED TO PREPARING INTELLECTUALLY EXCITED YOUNG PEOPLE FOR A FULL AND PRODUCTIVE LIFE IN A TECHNOLOGICALLY ORIENTED WORLD. THE DIVERSE STUDENT BODY IS RACIALLY AND CULTURALLY MIXED WITH A RATIO OF STUDENTS TO TEACHERS OF LESS THAN 8:1.
