OUR MISSION IS TO STRENGTHEN LOCAL FOND-DES-BLANCS, HAITI BASED ORGANIZATIONS AND COORDINATE THEIR WORK TOWARDS A SHARED VISION OF AN EMPOWERED AND ECONOMICALLY COMPETITIVE COMMUNITY.

PLANNING, COORDINATION, AND COLLABORATION AND NETWORKING: HELP IN CREATING DISTRICT-WIDE PLANS THAT GUIDE THE WORK OF CIVIC AND NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. THE PROCESS INVOLVES GATHERING THE WANTS, NEEDS, AND IDEAS, OF THE POPULATION ALONG WITH GATHERING OPINIONS ON THE PROPOSALS SET FORTH BY THE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTIONS. WE PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT WHO IS DOING WHAT WHEN, AND WHERE ALONG WITH SOCIOECONOMIC AND GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS) DATA TO LOCAL AND NON-LOCAL DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTIONS. WE CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEADERS TO MEET SO THEY CAN FORM ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS, DISCOVER AND CREATE OPPORTUNITIES, AND SHARE INFORMATION. THIS YEAR WE SUPPORTED THE MOST VULNERABLE WHO WERE HIT BY THE EARTHQUAKE.
RESEARCH- DATA COLLECTION: AT ADF, WE THINK THAT TO FIND SOLUTIONS THAT WILL CREATE TRANSFORMATIVE AND SUSTAINABLE CHANGE; IT IS NECESSARY TO GRASP THE INTRICACIES OF EXISTING PROBLEMS. THAT COMPREHENSION IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT COLLECTING DATA AND CONDUCTING RESEARCH. IN FOND-DES-BLANCS, NO PRIVATE OR PUBLIC AGENCY CONDUCTS DEMOGRAPHIC, SOCIOECONOMIC, OR OTHER FORMS OF RESEARCH AND DATA COLLECTION. BY HELPING IMPLEMENT LOCALLY AWARE, SYSTEMATIC, AND SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS, WE THINK THAT THE DATA ADF GATHERS WILL HELP FOND-DES-BLANCS TRANSFORM SOCIOECONOMICALLY.
