MISSION STATEMENT: TO EDUCATE OUR COMMUNITY ON RESPONSIBLE OWNERSHIP OF COMPANION ANIMALS AND PROPER CARE FOR COMMUNITY CATS BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE STERILIZATION VACCINE SERVICES RESCUE SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS LEADING TO THE PREVENTION OF UNNECESSARY EUTHANASIA

AFFORDABLE VET ACCESS PROGRAM: SEMI MONTHLY 5 HOUR ROUND TRIP TRANSPORTS OF A MINIMUM OF 50 CATS AND DOGS BELONGING TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC BY VAN TO THE NEAREST LOW COST SPAY NEUTER VETERINARY CLINIC. IN 2021 A HOPE SENT A TOTAL OF 1338 CATS AND 102 DOGS TO BE SPAY NEUTERED AND VACCINATED.
RESCUE PROGRAM: OUR ORGANIZATION CARED FOR 510 ANIMALS IN 2021 FOR THE PURPOSE OF LIFE SAVING. OF THAT TOTAL 463 WERE INTAKES OF CATS AND KITTENS FROM SHELTERS OTHER RESCUE OPERATIONS AND THE PUBLIC. THESE ANIMALS WERE PROVIDED THE CARE OFTEN LIFESAVING THEY NEEDED SO THEY COULD BE ADOPTED EITHER DIRECTLY FROM US OR TRANSFERRED TO OTHER RESCUE OPERATIONS PET STORES OR VETERINARY HOSPITALS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADOPTION OR RETURNED TO OWNER.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM: A HOPE'S COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM HAS 2 PRIMARY INITIATIVES. THE PET FOOD PANTRY PROGRAM ASSISTS LOW INCOME FAMILIES WITH FEEDING THEIR CATS AND DOGS FOR THE PURPOSE OF KEEPING PETS AT HOME AND OUT OF SHELTERS FOR LACK OF MEANS TO FEED THEM. IN 2021 THIS PROGRAM PROVIDED 2,498 POUNDS OF DRY AND 359 CANS OF WET FOOD TO 207 DOGS AND 1,377 POUNDS OF DRY AND 765 CANS OF WET FOOD TO 262 CATS IN A TOTAL OF 236 HOUSEHOLDS. THE BOWL FILLERS PROGRAM PROVIDES FOOD TREATS AND LITTER TO LIVE-IN SENIOR OWNERS UNABLE OBTAIN FOOD FOR THEIR PETS ON THEIR OWN. EACH MONTH A HOPE VOLUNTEERS RECRUIT A DIFFERENT SPONSORING ORGANIZATION FROM THE AREA TO DONATE THE ITEMS PROVIDED THROUGH THIS PROGRAM. IN 2021 BOWL FILLERS PROVIDED 1,476 POUNDS OF FOOD TO FEED 100 DOGS AND 827 POUNDS OF FOOD TO FEED 132 CATS IN 80 HOUSEHOLDS.
