THE CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES: TO BRING MUSICIANS FROM ALL OF THE WORLD TOGETHER TO CREATE NEW WORKS; TO PROMOTE MUSICAL AND ARTISTIC COLLABORATION; TO EXPAND CREATIVE AND CULTURAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE COMMUNITIES IN WHICH IT OPERATES; TO WORK WITH CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS IN COUNTRIES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD; WITH SIMILAR GOALS; AND TO REDUCE CULTURAL BOUNDARIES THROUGH MUSIC.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCY PROGRAM - THE HOUSE OF SONGS RESIDENCY SEEKS TO STRENGTHEN THE TIES THAT MUSIC NATURALLY CREATES. BY PARTICIPATING IN A HOUSE OF SONGS RESIDENCY, ARTISTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD GET AN OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE AND WORK WITH PEERS IN DIFFERENT GENRES WITH DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS. CREATING THOSE ORGANIC CONNECTIONS IS THE HEART AND SOUL OF THE HOUSE'S MISSION.
SONGWRITER SUMMITS - SEVERAL TIMES PER YEAR, MSUICIANS FROM ALL OUR REGIONS PAIR WITH INTERNATIONAL RECORDING ARTISTS TO LIVE TOGETHER FOR ONE WEEK AND COLLABORATE ON NEW MUSIC. AFTER THE SUMMIT, THE ARTISTS TRAVEL TO INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING FESTIVALS TO NETWORK AND SHOWCASE THEIR NEW MATERIALS.
PUBLIC PERFORMANCES - THE PARTICIPANTS IN THE ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAMS AND THE SONGWRITERS SUMMITS PLAY PUBLIC PERFORMANCES OF THEIR NEWLY WRITTEN WORKS. THE PERFORMANCES ARE OFTEN HELD AT OTHER LOCAL CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS SUCH AS MUSEUMS AND SCHOOLS, IN COLLABORATION WITH OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS' PROGRAMMING AND DIRECTLY BY THE ORGANIZATION.
