CREATED AN ALL-WOMEN WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL TEAM TO TRAVEL AND DEMONSTRATE THE SPORT OF WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL TO MEMBERS OF VARIOUS COMMUNITIES, INCLUDING MEETING WITH AND PROVIDING INSTRUCTION TO INTERESTED YOUTH, AS WELL AS COMPETING WITH COLLEGE TEAMS IN SELECT TOURNAMENTS. OVER 100 INDIVIDUALS BENEFITTED FROM THE TEAM'S PARTICIPATION IN THESE PROGRAMS. ALSO PARTICIPATED IN AN ADAPTED SPORTS PRESENTATION AT SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY WHICH INCLUDED A DEMONSTRATION OF WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL AS PART OF A TWO-DAY PROGRAM TO RAISE AWARENESS TO UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, ADMINISTRATORS, FACULTY AND COMMUNITY WITH THE PURPOSE OF CREATING THE FIRST COLLEGIATE ADAPTED ATHLETICS PROGRAM IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. MORE THAN 1,000 INDIVIDUALS ATTENDED THIS EVENT.
