TRADITION: THE GATOR BOWL GAME AND EVENTS ARE A 78-YEAR-OLD NORTHEAST FLORIDA FAMILY TRADITION. THE GATOR BOWL IS THE SIXTH OLDEST COLLEGE BOWL GAME AND WAS THE FIRST TO BE TELEVISED NATIONALLY COAST-TO-COAST. IT IS THE HOME OF LEGENDARY COACHES; HEISMAN, OUTLAND, VINCE LOMBARDI AND MAXWELL AWARD WINNERS; AND MORE THAN 175 FIRST-TEAM ALL-AMERICANS. GATOR BOWL SPORTS, INC IS A 501(C)(3) NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WHOSE PRIMARY CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES ARE FOCUSED ON EDUCATION AND YOUTH IN THE NORTH FLORIDA AREA. FLORIDA'S FIRST COAST SCHOOLS WILL RECEIVE A PORTION OF SPECIAL TICKET REVENUE TO SUPPORT IN-SCHOOL PROGRAMS. 6,000 OUT-OF-TOWN VISITORS; $3.6-$4.2 MILLION IN DIRECT SPENDING FOR THE LOCAL ECONOMY; $7.5 MILLION OVERALL ECONOMIC IMPACT TO NORTHEAST FLORIDA. GATOR BOWL SPORTS, INC HAD ONE MAJOR PROGRAM FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED MARCH 31, 2022, THE TAXSLAYER GATOR BOWL. THE TAXSLAYER GATOR BOWL WAS A POST-SEASON COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME MATCHING RUTGERS UNIVERSITY AGAINST WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY. IT INCLUDED A WEEK-LONG CELEBRATION WITH ACTIVITIES, PARTIES AND EVENTS FOR THE FANS AND UNIVERSITIES.
