THE ORGANIZATION FOSTERS NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL AMATEUR SPORTS COMPETITIONS TO ACHIEVE THE ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSES, WHICH INCLUDE: (A) SECURING IMPROVEMENT IN THE CARE AND TRAINING OF HORSES BY THE HOLDING OF ONE OR MORE ANNUAL HORSE SHOWS FOR THE COMPETITIVE EXHIBITION OF DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN HORSES AND RIDERS, OF VARIOUS CLASSES, AND THE DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZES AND AWARDS TO THE BEST AND MOST MERITORIOUS EXHIBITORS; AND (B) ENCOURAGING THE ART OF RIDING AND HORSEMANSHIP; PROMOTING NATIONAL PRIDE IN THE VALUES OF COMPETITION AND SPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT, ENCOURAGING WHOLESOME ACTIVITY AMONG OUR NATION'S YOUTH, AND OTHERWISE PROMOTING PUBLIC INTEREST AND PARTICIPATION IN, AND ENJOYMENT OF, EQUESTRIAN SPORTS GENERALLY.
