Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
IN RESPONSE TO THE NEEDS IN OUR COMMUNITY AS A RESULT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WILDFIRE LAUNCHED A NEW MISSION THAT FOCUSED ON DISTRIBUTING FOOD TO FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS IN NEED LOCALLY WITHIN THE GREATER SA AREA, FOCUSING ON THE NORTHEAST CORRIDOR. WHAT BEGAN WITH ONE FOOD DISTRIBUTION LOCATION AND DOZENS OF FAMILIES SERVED EACH WEEK BECAME MULTIPLE DISTRIBUTION LOCATIONS AND HUNDREDS OF FAMILIES WHO WEEKLY RECEIVED FOOD BY THE END OF 2021. THE UNIQUE APPROACH OF THE WILDFIRE FOOD PANTRIES ALLOWED CLIENTS TO HAVE INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION AND APPOINTMENTS FOR RECEIVING FOOD ASSISTANCE, RATHER THAN WAITING IN LONG LINES AND JUST FEELING LIKE ANOTHER NUMBER OR STATISTIC. ALL FOOD WAS RECEIVED FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC, LOCAL GROCERY AND FOOD MANUFACTURERS, AND DAILY BREAD MINISTRIES (A LARGE LOCAL CHRISTIAN FOOD DISTRIBUTION PANTRY) AS IN-KIND DONATIONS AND THEN DISTRIBUTED DIRECTLY TO PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY.
16 MINISTRIES OPERATE UNDER THE WILDFIRE LEGAL UMBRELLA TO SERVE THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. THEY RAISED A TOTAL OF $177,370 IN 2021 AND SPENT $94,977 THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. EACH MINISTRY DOS MEANINGFUL WORK IN THEIR AREA OF FOCUS, HERE WE WILL HIGHLIGHT A FEW OF THE MINISTRY PROGRAMS THAT ARE PART OF THE NETWORK: ANGEL HELPERS, CREATED, T.H.U.G.G.I.N. FOR CHRIST, AND ONESOURCE. THIS YEAR, ANGEL HELPERS PROVIDED CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR 254 KIDS IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY IN A WAY THAT EMPOWERED THEIR PARENTS AND FAMILY MEMBERS THROUGHOUT THE RELATIONAL PROCESS. CREATED PROVIDED ART MINISTRY TRAINING TO DOZENS OF PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES TO EMPOWER THEM AS ART MINISTERS IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITY. T.H.U.G.G.I.N. FOR CHRIST CONTINUED THEIR WORK TO TRANSFORM THE LIVES OF THOSE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS. ONESOURCE WAS ABLE TO LAUNCH A PILOT PROGRAM FOR PEOPLE IN RECOVERY TO DEEPEN THEIR SPIRITUAL MATURITY AS THEY WORK TO PLACE THE PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS IN MEANINGFUL AND GENERATIONALLY TRANSFORMING CAREERS.
WILDFIRE PROVIDED NETWORK SERVICES TO SUPPORT THE MINISTRIES THAT ARE FORMALLY CONNECTED TO THE NETWORK. THIS IS OUR TERM FOR THE AMALGAMATION OF CENTRAL LEADERSHIP SERVICES THAT OUR CORE TEAM PROVIDES: INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO - STRATEGY CONSULTING, LIFE COACHING, PASTORAL COUNSELING, MEDIATION, SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT, FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, AND ACCESS TO FACILITIES. AT THE END OF 2021 THE NETWORK WAS COMPRISED OF 16 OFFICIAL MISSIONS. WE PROVIDED THESE MISSIONS WITH FREE ACCESS TO FINANCIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, COACHING, TRAINING, AND MEDIA CONSULTING. FOR EXAMPLE, 8 OF THE MISSIONS (ANGEL HELPERS, BACKSTITCH, BE UNIQUE, HEAVEN SENT, IMMACULATE HEARTS FOOD PANTRY, LIFE LIGHT INDIA, RETURNING TO JOY, T.H.U.G.G.I.N FOR CHRIST, CREATED, ONESOURCE, SEMILLAS, BEAUTY FROM ASHES, CLOUD CLOAK, DOMINION HOPE HOUSE, HOLY ROLLERS, MAN UP PROJECT ) UTILIZED OUR FREE FINANCIAL SERVICES CONSISTING OF BOOKKEEPING, DONOR PROCESSING, DOCUMENTATION AND FILING, BUDGET DEVELOPMENT, AND FUNDRAISING AND FINANCIAL COACHING.
