ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO IDENTIFY UNDERSERVED AREAS OF THE STATE WHERE THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH DENTAL PRACTITIONERS TO ADEQUATELY ADDRESS THE ORAL HEALTH NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY, AS WELL AS AREAS WITH HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT OR POVERTY. TO PROVIDE FREE DENTAL CARE TO AS MANY NEEDY PERSONS WITH INCOMES NOT EXCEEDING 200% OF THE MINIMUM POVERTY LEVEL WITHIN NORTH CAROLINA AS POSSIBLE. TO INVOLVE AS MUCH OF THE DENTAL COMMUNITY OF THE STATE IN THE TREATMENT OF THE NEEDY AS IS POSSIBLE THROUGH VOLUNTEERISM AND/OR CONTRIBUTIONS.
