ASDEC IS A NONPROFIT FOUNDATION ESTABLISHED IN JAN 2000 TO TRAIN TEACHERS ACADEMIC THERAPISTS IN RESEARCH-BASED MULTI-SENSORY TECHNIQUES DESIGNED TO IMPROVE STUDENT PERFORMANCE IN READING, STUDY SKILLS, MATH.

SUPERVISION PRACTICUM PROVIDED TRAINING TO THE TEACHERS FOR THE EFFECTIVE EDUCATION OF STUDENTS WITH DYSLEXIA AND RELATED LANGUAGE-BASED DISORDERS. THE TWO-YEAR PROGRAMS LEAD TO A NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED MSLE CERTIFICATION. IN 2021, 30 TRAINEES WERE IN THE MSLE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM. THE MATH PRACTICUM HAD 6 TRAINEES IN THE 10-MONTH PROGRAM AND THE 9-MONTH LANGUAGE FOUNDATION HAD 40 TRAINEES


COURSES AND TRAINING MATERIALS DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED CURRICULA FOR COURSES IN MSLE, READING AND RELATED LANGUAGE MULTISENSORY MATH, LEARNING STRATEGIES AND STUDY SKILLS FOR THE NEUROPSYCHOLOGY OF DYSLEXIA.


SUMMER PROGRAM OPERATED INTENSIVE SUMMER PROGRAM FOR INTERNS AND DYSLEXIC STUDENTS. EXPENSE INCLUDES SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED TO STUDENTS.
