TSWAN IS THE SOLE TRIBALLY-BASED SOLID WASTE ORGANIZATION NATIONWIDE. OUR PRIMARY MISSION REVOLVES AROUND DELIVERING TOP-TIER TRAINING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO TRIBES NATIONWIDE, WITH A STEADFAST FOCUS ON OUR ESTEEMED MEMBER TRIBES. THROUGHOUT THE PAST YEAR, TSWAN HAS REMAINED DEDICATED TO PROVIDING COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM SUPPORT TAILORED TO THE SPECIFIC NEEDS OF EACH MEMBER TRIBE. OUR EFFORTS ENCOMPASS VARIOUS INITIATIVES, INCLUDING FACILITATING AD HOC COMMITTEE MEETINGS, CONDUCTING OUTREACH AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS, CRAFTING ESSENTIAL PLANNING DOCUMENTS, AUGMENTING THE TSWAN DATABASE AND LIBRARY, EXPANDING OUR WEBSITE FUNCTIONALITIES, AND ORCHESTRATING TRAINING SESSIONS FOR ALL AFFILIATED TRIBES. IT'S IMPERATIVE TO NOTE THAT THE SERVICES RENDERED BY TSWAN EXTEND THEIR BENEFITS, AT THE VERY LEAST, TO OUR MEMBERSHIP BASE, WHICH COMPRISES 28 FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED TRIBES AND VILLAGES SPREAD ACROSS WASHINGTON, OREGON, IDAHO, AND ALASKA. MOREOVER, OUR COMMITMENT TO FOSTERING COLLABORATION AND KNOWLEDGE-SHARING AMONG MEMBER TRIBES IS EXEMPLIFIED THROUGH THE ORGANIZATION OF THREE COLLABORATION MEETINGS ANNUALLY. ADDITIONALLY, THE PAST YEAR, TSWAN WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND BY OFFERING FOUR SUPPLEMENTARY TRAINING SESSIONS. THESE SESSIONS COVERED CRITICAL TOPICS SUCH AS SAFETY, HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES, AND MORE, CATERING TO OUR MEMBERS AND EXTENDING OUR SUPPORT TO OTHER TRIBAL NATIONS. IN SUMMARY, TSWAN REMAINS STEADFAST IN ITS DEDICATION TO SERVING TRIBAL COMMUNITIES, STRIVING TO EMPOWER THEM WITH THE NECESSARY RESOURCES AND EXPERTISE TO EFFECTIVELY ADDRESS SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT CHALLENGES.
