THE WILLOW CENTER PROVIDES PEER SUPPORT GROUPS FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS GRIEVING A DEATH OF SOMEONE CLOSE TO THEM AND EXTENDS SUPPORTIVE SERVICES, GRIEF RESOURCES AND EDUCATION TO FAMILIES, CARE GIVERS, AND THE COMMUNITY FREE OF CHARGE.

THE WILLOW CENTER SERVED 403 CHILDREN AND TEENS THROUGH GROUP MEETINGS IN THE PAST FISCAL YEAR. ADDITIONALLY,43 CHILDREN ATTENDED CAMP ERIN, A SUMMER BEREAVEMENT CAMP. MANY OF THESE CHILDREN WOULD NOT HAVE HAD ACCESS TO OTHER GRIEF COUNSELING BECAUSE OF LACK OF FINANCIAL RESOURCES. THE PROGRAM IS RUN ON DONATIONS AND GRANTS ONLY, EXCEPT FOR THE FUNDS RECEIVED FROM TWIN COUNTY UNITED WAY.
