SELKIRK SCHOOL OFFERS PRESCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN CLASSES (AGES 3 TO 6 YEARS OLD), AS WELL AS AN AFTERCARE PROGRAM AND SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM AT OUR UNIQUE 4-ACRE CAMPUS. 30 STUDENTS WERE ENROLLED IN THE PROGRAM.SELKIRKS CLASSROOMS ARE INTERACTIVE ENVIRONMENTS THAT MEET HIGH EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS, WHILE ALSO MEETING THE DEVELOPMENTAL NEEDS OF EACH INDIVIDUAL CHILD. STUDENTS AND CAMPERS HAVE DAILY STORYTELLING, POETRY, SONGS, GAMES, BLOCKS, ART, MOVEMENT, NATURE, OUTSIDE PLAY AND REST.A CONSISTENT RHYTHM OF ACTIVITIES EACH DAY SUPPORTS THE CHILDRENS NEED FOR STRUCTURE AND SECURITY. THE CURRICULUM IS DESIGNED TO PREPARE STUDENTS TO SUCCEED ACADEMICALLY AND SOCIALLY IN ANY FUTURE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT.
