THE YBGB FUND PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT DIRECTLY TO BLACK-LED BLACK BENEFITING NONPROFITS ACROSS THE UNITED STATES FOR CAPACITY-BUILDING PROGRAMMING OR GENERAL OPERATING SUPPORT. THE FIRST CYCLE OF THE YBGB GIVING FUND OPENED IN APRIL 2021 TO ALL 2020 GIVE 8 28 PARTICIPATING NONPROFITS. A TOTAL OF $4,000 WAS AWARDED TO FOUR ORGANIZATIONS WORKING IN THE AREAS OF BLACK PHILANTHROPIC ENGAGEMENT EDUCATION HEALTH AND WELLNESS AND ARTS AND CULTURE. GIVE 8 28: GIVE 8 28 IS AN ONLINE GIVING DAY HELD ANNUALLY ON AUGUST 28 SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO PROMOTE THE WORK OF BLACK-LED BLACK-BENEFITTING NONPROFITS. NOW IN ITS FOURTH YEAR GIVE 8 28 TAPS INTO THE ENTHUSIASM OF BLACK MILLENNIAL AND GEN X DONORS THROUGH ONLINE GIVING WHILE HELPING BLACK-LED NONPROFITS RAISE FUNDS AND REACH NEW AUDIENCES. TO DATE MORE THAN 1,000 BLACK-LED NONPROFITS HAVE GALVANIZED CLOSE TO 5,000 DONORS TO RAISE NEARLY $475,000 ON THIS EPIC DAY OF GIVING.
