THE EAGLES AUTISM CHALLENGE IS A FUNDRAISING EVENT THAT INCLUDES A ONE-DAY BIKE RIDE AND FAMILY-FRIENDLY 5K RUN/WALK FEATURING PHILADELPHIA EAGLES PLAYERS, ALUMNI, COACHES, EXECUTIVES, CHEERLEADERS AND SWOOP.

EAGLES AUTISM CHALLENGE (EAC) BELIEVES THAT AUTISM IS AN AREA THAT NEEDS MORE ATTENTION AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT. EAC ORDINARILY WOULD HAVE HOSTED A ONE DAY EVENT THAT INCLUDED A BIKE RIDE AND A FAMILY-FRIENDLY 5K RUN/WALK THAT BEGINS AND ENDS AT LINCOLN FINANCIAL FIELD. DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THIS EVENT WAS POSTPONED IN 2021 TO 8/21/21. EAC UNDERSTANDS THAT IT IS DIFFICULT FOR A SINGLE INSTITUTION TO ADDRESS THE COMPLEX MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC ISSUES PRESENTED BY THE CONDITION OF AUTISM, SO THE APPLICATION FOR FUNDING WAS OPEN TO INSTITUTIONS IN THE PHILADELPHIA AREA. PROCEEDS GENERATED IN ALL OF FYE 6/30/2021 AND THROUGH THE EVENT DATED 8/21/21 BENEFITTED/WILL BENEFIT DIFFERENT AUTISM PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA. COMMUNITY GRANTS AND RESEARCH GRANTS WILL BE PAYABLE TO BENEFICIARIES ELECTED AFTER THE RESEARCH REVIEW PANEL FINALIZES THEIR DECISIONS IN MAY 2022.
