CORE PROGRAMS YOUTH CAMPS & CLUBS: WE OFFER CAMPS & CLUBS YEAR ROUND FOR BEGINNING AND EXPERIENCED YOUNG SPEAKERS AGES 8-18, WHERE STUDENTS EXPRESS THEMSELVES IN THEIR CHOICE OF DIFFERENT STRANDS, SUCH AS SPEECH, DEBATE, LEADERSHIP, AND MEDIA. OUR PROGRAMS REACH UNDERSERVED YOUNG PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT HAD ACCESS TO PUBLIC SPEAKING EDUCATION AT THEIR SCHOOLS.ADULT WORKSHOPS & LESSONS: WE OFFER SMALL GROUP CLASSES AND PRIVATE LESSONS FOR WOMEN LEADERS, EARLY CAREER PROFESSIONALS, EMERGING LEADERS OF COLOR, AND PROFESSIONALS WHO HAVE FELT STUCK OR SILENCED BECAUSE OF PUBLIC SPEAKING. WE CREATE A KIND, SUPPORTIVE SPACE TO PRACTICE PITCHES, KEYNOTES, PANELS, NETWORKING, SPONTANEOUS SPEAKING, JOB INTERVIEWS, AND PRESENTATION. IN 2022, WE COACHED BILINGUAL ONLINE COURSES FOR ADULTS FOCUSED ON PITCHES AND PUBLIC COMMENT AND CONTINUED TO PROVIDE PRIVATE LESSONS FOR PROFESSIONALS AROUND THE COUNTRY.COMMUNITY EVENTS: WE HOLD PUBLIC EVENTS AND PERFORMANCES TO SHOWCASE THE TALENTS OF OUR PARTICIPANTS, HELP PEOPLE PRACTICE IN FRONT OF AN AUDIENCE, CELEBRATE MILESTONES, AND BRING OUR COMMUNITY TOGETHER THROUGH FUN, FAMILY-FRIENDLY EXPERIENCES.
PARTNER PROGRAMS CORPORATE AND NONPROFIT WORKSHOPS: WE CUSTOMIZE WORKSHOPS FOR NONPROFITS AND COMPANIES INTERESTED IN IMPROVING COMMUNICATION AND PRESENTATION SKILLS. OUR PARTNERS VIEW PUBLIC SPEAKING AS A GATEWAY TO LEADERSHIP, EQUITY, AND DIVERSE VOICES. IN 2022, WE SERVED 18 PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH WORKSHOPS, RETREAT FACILITATION, AND EXECUTIVE COACHING, INCLUDING MANY RICHMOND ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL AS TITLE NINE SPORTS AND KAISER PERMANENTE. WE ALSO COLLABORATED WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE SUMMER PROGRAMMING FOR UNDERSERVED YOUTH, INCLUDING THE ED FUND AND FREEDOM SCHOOLS.EXECUTIVE COACHING: WE OFFER IN-DEPTH AND PERSONALIZED COACHING TO HELP EXECUTIVES USE THEIR VOICE TO REPRESENT THEMSELVES AND THEIR ORGANIZATIONS. WE HELP WOMEN LEADERS PREPARE FOR HIGH-PROFILE EVENTS, CRAFT AND DELIVER KEYNOTES, GET READY FOR PODCASTS AND PANELS, DEAL WITH ANXIETY, AND BECOME BETTER SPONTANEOUS SPEAKERS. ONSITE AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS & TEACHER COACHING: WE PROVIDE FREE, DIRECT SERVICE AFTER-SCHOOL SPEECH AND DEBATE PROGRAMS TO INTRODUCE YOUNG PEOPLE TO PUBLIC SPEAKING AND PREPARE FOR TOURNAMENTS. WE OFFER SMALL GROUP COACHING, CURRICULUM RESOURCES, AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS ON OUR METHOD, EXPRESSION-DRIVEN TEACHING. IN 2022 FOR ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL, WE EXPANDED OUR YOUNG SPEAKER PROGRAMS, SERVING OVER 100 STUDENTS IN PERSON AT WCCUSD AND LOMA VISTA IN VALLEJO, CONTINUING TO PROVIDE ONLINE PROGRAMS, AND GATHERING FAMILIES TOGETHER FOR A PRACTICE PERFORMANCE. FOR HIGH SCHOOL, WE QUALIFIED STUDENTS TO STATE AND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS IN SPEECH & DEBATE, SERVING A TOTAL OF 4 HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS (INCLUDING A SPANISH LANGUAGE SPEECH AND DEBATE CLUB). WE ALSO SUPPORTED LEADERSHIP THROUGH OUR FIRST YOUTH-DESIGNED SELF-ADVOCACY CLUB, WHERE YOUTH SPOKE ABOUT THEMES SUCH AS ASIAN HATE, RACISM, CLIMATE CHANGE, AND FEAR.
