D.A.R.T. AIMS TO STOP THE NUMBER OF DEATHS CAUSED BY OPIATE OVERDOSES. IN 2022, THE ORGANIZATION ENGAGED 327 UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS AND ATTEMPTED TO LINK THOSE INDIVIDUALS TO TREATMENT SERVICES. SINCE THE INCEPTION OF D.A.R.T., THE UNIT HAS ENGAGED OVER 5,700 INDIVIDUALS THROUGH 2022. D.A.R.T. ADVOCATES EDUCATED A UNIVERSAL AUDIENCE OF 5,158 COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND REACHED 1,124 ADULTS THROUGH COMMUNITY PRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE DANGERS OF HEROIN AND OTHER DRUG USE. ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT OUTREACHES WAS SEEN WITH THE YOUTH IN THE COMMUNITY, REACHING 1,261 STUDENTS FROM BOTH PRIVATE AND PUBLIC SCHOOLS THROUGH VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON PRESENTATIONS DUE TO COVID-19.
