PROVIDING THERAPY, COUNSELING, AND FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES TO MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY STRUGGLING WITH BEHAVIORAL, MENTAL, AND/OR EMOTIONAL HEALTH CHALLENGES.

IN 2022, SOLUTIONS OF CHANGE RENEWED ITS STATE COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH BLOCK GRANT, TO PROVIDE FREE COUNSELING, COMMUNITY EDUCATION, AND FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES FOR LOCAL YOUTH/TEENS AND THEIR FAMILIES (PARENTS/GUARDIANS/SIBLINGS). DUE TO FUNDING FROM THIS GRANT, APPROXIMATELY 67 INDIVIDUAL CLIENTS RECEIVED FREE MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING SERVICES AND MORE THAN 35 RECEIVED CRISIS INTERVENTION AND FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES.


CLARK COUNTY OAG - DURING 2022, SOC HOSTED ITS 5TH ANNUAL HEALING TO HEALTH COMMUNITY EDUCATION EVENT. THE EVENT FEATURED 10 SPEAKERS, PANELISTS, AND WORKSHOP PRESENTERS, 12 VENDORS AND 119 REGISTERED GUESTS ATTENDED. SOC ALSO PLANNED AND HOSTED OUR 1ST ANNUAL HEALING HOLIDAYS, WHICH TOOK PLACE ON DECEMBER 16, 2022 AND WAS HELD AT NEVADA PARTNERS. SOC WAS ABLE TO HELP OVER 25 FAMILIES WITH THERAPEUTIC COPING STRATEGIES FOR HOLIDAY STRESS, FOOD, AND GIFTS FOR THE HOLIDAYS.


ARPA GRANT - SOC WAS IN NEED OF BILINGUAL SPANISH-SPEAKING STAFF TO ASSIST ITS GROWING SPANISH-SPEAKING CLIENTELE.SOC INITIATED THE SEARCH FOR A BILINGUAL LICENSED THERAPIST UTILIZING CAREER WEBSITES SUCH AS INDEED AND HANDSHAKE, AND ATTENDED CAREER FAIRS AT UNLV, NEVADA STATE COLLEGE, AND CSN.SOC WAS SUCCESSFUL IN RECRUITING TWO BILINGUAL LICENSED THERAPISTS AND PROVIDED FREE COUNSELING SERVICES TO OVER 35 SPANISH-SPEAKING CLIENTS IN 2022.
