PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTING COMMUNITY BUILDING EVENTS SUCH AS: UPTOWN COOKE WALK - AN ANNUAL COMMUNITY FAVORITE EVENT BRINGING PEOPLE INTO WESTERVILLE FROM OVER 25 OTHER COMMUNITIES; UPTOWN UNTAPPED - WESTERVILLE'S ORIGINAL OUTDOOR BEER EVENT, UPTOWN UNTAPPED CELEBRATES THE CITY'S DRY HISTORY WITH A CRAFT BEER EVENT HOSTED ON THE DRY STREETS OF UPTOWN WESTERVILLE. THE EVENT IS A CELEBRATION OF LOCAL CRAFT BEER, LOCAL BREWERIES AND LOCAL RESTAURANTS AND HOSTED ABOUT 2,000 COMMUNITY MEMBERS, 12 LOCAL BREWERIES, 4 LOCAL BANDS AND 6 LOCAL EATERIES; THE WESTERVILLE FARMERS MARKET, WHICH HAD 54 VENDORS AND ATTRACTED AN AVERAGE OF 2,000 PEOPLE PER WEEK OVER 21 WEEKS FROM MAY THROUGH OCTOBER AND ALSO OFFERED SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION PROGRAMS LIKE SNAP, PRODUCE PERKS AND WIC; AND FOURTH FRIDAY STREET FESTIVALS, HOSTING OVER 150 POP UP BUSINESSES AND ATTRACTING FROM 10,000 TO 20,000 VISITORS EACH MONTH MAY-OCTOBER. THE FESTIVAL IS FREE TO THE PUBLIC AND OFFERS MUSIC, ENTERTAINMENT, COMMUNITY GROUPS, CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES, AN INTERACTIVE SCIENCE EXHIBIT AND DANCE PERFORMANCES.
DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING COMMUNICATIONS TO STAKEHOLDERS THROUGH EMAIL NEWSLETTERS, SOCIAL MEDIA AND WEBSITE. THE ORGANIZATION MAINTAINS 2 INSTAGRAM ACCOUNTS, 3 FACEBOOK PAGES AND AN ACTIVE WEBSITE THAT HOSTS BLOGS ON TOPICS OF INTEREST TO THE COMMUNITY, A COMMUNITY CALENDAR AND AN ECOMMERCE SITE FOR EVENT REGISTRATION.
