MDHHS: IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES (MDHHS), CIVILLA LAUNCHED:PROJECT ONE DAY - THIS PROJECT WILL DESIGN A STREAMLINED ENROLLMENT PROCESS FOR MICHIGAN'S LARGEST ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS - SETTING A BOLD NORTH STAR GOAL THAT IS FOCUSED ON SAME DAY PROCESSINGPROJECT RE:NEW - THIS PROJECT DESIGNED SIMPLE AND INTUITIVE RENEWAL FORMS FOR MICHIGAN'S LARGEST ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS. THE PILOT TESTED THE NEWLY DESIGNED FORMS AND FOUND 95% WERE SUBMITTED ON TIME, THERE WERE 50% FEWER RENEWAL LOBBY VISITS, AND THERE WAS A 15% INCREASE IN SUCCESSFUL RENEWALS.
COHERE: CIVILLA HAS DEVELOPED AND PILOTED A CENTRALIZED DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO AGGREGATE INDIVIDUALS' DATA FROM MULTIPLE SOURCES AND PROVIDE SUCH INDIVIDUALS WITH EASY ACCESS TO THEIR PERSONAL INFORMATION IN AN EFFORT TO ASSIST THEM IN ACHIEVING AND SUSTAINING A REASONABLE AND STABLE LEVEL OF ECONOMIC WELL-BEING THROUGH APPLICATION FOR PUBLICLY AVAILABLE SOCIAL BENEFITS IN A MANNER THAT PRESERVES EFFICIENCIES AND MAINTAINS DIGNITY.
NEW AMERICA/UNEMPLOYMENT: CIVILLA CONDUCTED IN-DEPTH RESEARCH ON HOW TO IMPROVE SERVICE DELIVERY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE IN MICHIGAN AND INCREASE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CROSS-ENROLLMENT IN SUPPORTING BENEFIT PROGRAMS. THE GOALS FOR THIS RESEARCH WAS TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO BENEFITS IN MICHIGAN WHILE GENERATING ACTIONABLE INSIGHTS TO HELP AGENCIES AND LAWMAKERS DESIGN MORE EFFECTIVE BENEFIT PROGRAMS ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
