IN 2022, GENERATION ATOMIC ENGAGED IN NUMEROUS ACTIVITIES TO ADVANCE NUCLEAR ENERGY AND GROW THE PRO-NUCLEAR MOVEMENT.WE FACILITATED ALMOST 150 MEETINGS OF OUR VOLUNTEER COMMITTEES, INCLUDING THE GOVERNMENT, EDUCATION, COMMUNICATIONS & OUTREACH, MINNESOTA, AND TECHNICAL RESEARCH TEAMS. THESE COMMITTEES DRIVE MANY OF OUR PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES.OUR ATOMIC AMBASSADORS PROGRAM CONTINUED TO EXPAND, WITH 5 NEW TRAINING COHORTS AND OVER 100 PARTICIPANTS IN TOTAL. THE AMBASSADORS ORGANIZED 12 PRO-NUCLEAR EVENTS IN CANADA, THE US, NIGERIA, AND THE UK. ONE HIGHLIGHT WAS A HIGH SCHOOL LECTURE SERIES IN NIGERIA THAT REACHED OVER 1,000 STUDENTS AND RECEIVED NATIONAL NEWS COVERAGE.IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE IAEA, WE HELD A GLOBAL ART COMPETITION AND FEATURED THE WINNERS AT THE CLEAN ENERGY MINISTERIAL IN WASHINGTON DC. OUR AMBASSADORS ATTENDED ABOUT 30 CONFERENCES AND EVENTS TO PROMOTE NUCLEAR.WE ALSO HOSTED 7 FELLOWS FOCUSED ON POLICY, COMMUNICATIONS, OUTREACH, AND EDUCATION. NUMEROUS WORKSHOPS WERE HELD ON SKILLS LIKE LETTER-WRITING, SOCIAL MEDIA, PUBLIC SPEAKING, AND COUNTERING OBJECTIONS TO NUCLEAR ENERGY.OUR CONTENT PRODUCTION INCLUDED 14 BLOG ARTICLES, OVER 50 MEMES, AND AROUND 50 VIDEOS. WE PROVIDED PUBLIC COMMENT AND TESTIMONY IN ALMOST 30 LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY PROCEEDINGS RELATED TO NUCLEAR ENERGY.WORKING WITH PARTNERS, WE HELPED ORGANIZE PHONEBANKING AND TESTIMONY THAT CONTRIBUTED TO SAVING DIABLO CANYON NUCLEAR PLANT FROM EARLY CLOSURE. WE CONTINUED EXPANDING OUR GLOBAL MAP OF PRO-NUCLEAR ORGANIZATIONS AND PROVIDED FISCAL SPONSORSHIP TO SUPPORT OTHER GROUPS.WE ALSO FACILITATED A TRAINING SESSION FOR COP27 DELEGATES ON THE BENEFITS OF NUCLEAR ENERGY. AT THE CONFERENCE ITSELF, WE SECURED AND DESIGNED AN EXHIBIT BOOTH TO HIGHLIGHT THE IMPORTANCE OF NUCLEAR POWER FOR CLEAN ENERGY TRANSITIONS.OVERALL, 2022 WAS A HIGHLY PRODUCTIVE YEAR AS GENERATION ATOMIC WORKED TO GROW THE PRO-NUCLEAR MOVEMENT WORLDWIDE THROUGH EDUCATION, ADVOCACY, AND EMPOWERING SUPPORTERS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
