THE CHICAGO LATINO THEATER ALLIANCE (CLATA) IS COMMITTED TO INCITE, FOSTER AND SHOWCASE NEW THOUGHT PROVOKING U.S. LATINO THEATER ARTISTS, PRIMARILY IN CHICAGO, AND TO INTRODUCE THEIR INTERNATIONAL COUNTERPARTS; TO PRESERVE CULTURAL HERITAGE, WHILE PROMOTING AND IDENTIFYING THE BEST CLASSICAL AND CONTEMPORARY PRODUCTIONS THAT INSPIRE A CROSS-CULTURAL AUDIENCE.

THE CHICAGO LATINO THEATER ALLIANCE (CLATA), IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION FOUNDED IN 2016, DEDICATED TO BE A TRANSFORMATIVE CULTURAL ENGINE TO HELP DRIVE THE LOCAL LATINO THEATER COMMUNITY TO A MORE PROMINENT LEVEL, AND TO SHAPE CHICAGO'S CULTURAL LANDSCAPE BY STRENGTHENING ITS DIVERSITY THROUGH THEATER. CLATA WORKS DILIGENTLY YEAR ROUND TO SUPPORT LOCAL LATINO CHICAGO THEATER ARTISTS, PROVIDE ACCESS TO FOUNDATIONS AND CORPORATIONS, PROMOTE THEIR WORK, AUGMENT THEIR AUDIENCES, FORGE COLLABORATIONS, AND PRODUCES DESTINOS, ONE OF THE COUNTRY'S LEADING ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL LATINO THEATER FESTIVALS. THROUGH DESTINOS FESTIVAL LATINO STORIES AND EXPERIENCES ARE REPRESENTED, CELEBRATED AND AMPLIFIED, WHICH IN TURN DEMONSTRATES THAT CHICAGO IS A MECCA OF DIVERSE QUALITY THEATER.
