WHILE MAKING THE DIFFICULT DECISION TO WRAP UP AND WIND DOWN ACTIVITIES, MUCH OF 2023 WAS SPENT COMPLETING COMMITMENTS, FINALIZING PROJECTS, AND ENSURING THE SOUND AND LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE DISSOLUTION OF THE ORGANIZATION. 2023 ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDED: - WE HIRED A HONDURAN ACCOUNTANT TO AUDIT ALL THE ORGANIZATION'S FINANCIAL ACTIVITIES FROM 2018-2023.- WE HELPED FACILITATE THE TRANSITION OF THE WATER SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION PROJECT IN THE COMMUNITY OF EL SUYATE WITH THE DANL ROTARY CLUB AND ROTARY CLUB INTERNATIONAL, WITH EFFORTS WERE MADE THROUGH SANAA REGIONAL EL PARASO TO SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY BY APPROACHING WORLD VISION AND PURE WATER FOR THE WORLD. THE PRE-FEASIBILITY STUDIES FOR THE WATER PROJECT WERE DELIVERED TO THE EL SUYATE COMMUNITY. - WE HELPED TO REPAIR A RURAL SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SOLEDAD, EL PARASO AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF SCHOOL CLASSROOMS IN OLANCHITO, YORO; TOGETHER WITH INVERSIONES GARCA WITH TOTAL PROJECTS COSTING MORE THAN $3800 USD. - AT THE NUEVO PARAISO HIGH SCHOOL, WE COMPLETED MANY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS, INCLUDING THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE BROILER HOUSE AREA, INSTALLATION OF ENCLOSURES FOR 2 CLASSROOMS AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE SECOND STAGE OF BLEACHERS FOR THE MULTI-PURPOSE COURT, AS WELL AS REPAIRS AND PREPARATION FOR THE REOPENING OF THE SCHOOL CAFE. - THE SUPERVISION TOUR OF THE SEDIS PROJECTS IN OCOTEPEQUE WAS CARRIED OUT WITH A LAWYER AND NOTARY TO ATTEST TO THE LEGALITY OF THE EXECUTION OF THE FUNDS AND THE PHYSICAL EVIDENCE OF EACH OF THE HOUSES AND THEIR BENEFICIARIES. - THE NUEVA ESPERANZA GROUP OF ENTREPRENEURS WAS TRAINED, AND IMPROVEMENTS WERE MADE, AND EQUIPMENT INSTALLED FOR THEIR OPERATION, WITH TRANSFER OF THE CHICKEN COOP PROJECT TO THE COMMUNITY, AS ORIGINALLY INTENDED. - THE DEED OF INCORPORATION OF THE MICROENTERPRISE OF THE GROUP "LUCHANDO POR NUESTRAS FAMILIAS" OF THE COMMUNITY OF NUEVO PARASO WAS ALSO DELIVERED. - THE GREEN TEAM NURSERY WAS DISASSEMBLED WITH DONATION OF THE TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT TO THE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY OF MOROCEL. DESPITE THE SADNESS WE FEEL WITH WRAPPING UP AND SAYING GOODBYE TO THE ACTIVITIES OF SELF, WE ARE INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS THAT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO WORK TOGETHER ACROSS INTERNATIONAL BORDERS, DESPITE INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES, AND ACCOMPLISH SO MUCH TOGETHER SINCE 2016.
