THE BRASS AVALANCHE SAFETY FOUNDATION HAS CONTINUED ITS WORK TO ADVOCATE FOR AVALANCHE SAFETY THROUGH EDUCATION AND OUTREACH. ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH U.S. SKI & SNOWBOARD IS FOCUSED ON EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY TO IMPROVE THE DEPTH OF EDUCATION IN THE ORGANIZATION. IN 2020-21, EVERY U.S. SKI & SNOWBOARD MEMBER WAS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE A SIMPLE ONLINE EDUCATION MODULE. COACHES ALSO HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPAND THEIR EDUCATION THROUGH A MORE DETAILED ONLINE CURRICULUM. BRASS CONTINUES TO WORK WITH THE UTAH AVALANCHE CENTER'S KNOW BEFORE YOU GO PROGRAM TO FORM THE BASIS OF ITS BRASS 101 ONLINE EDUCATION SERIES, WHICH REACHED THOUSANDS IN 2020-21. ORIGINALLY BORN OUT OF THE COVID ERA, BRASS 101 ONLINE IS NOW A STAPLE EDUCATIONAL PRODUCT THAT CONTINUES TO BE OFFERED FOR FREE. THE 13-MINUTE DOCUMENTARY OFF PISTE, PRODUCED BY BRASS IN 2018, CONTINUES TO BE ONE OF THE MOST-VIEWED AVALANCHE SAFETY VIDEOS.
