CONTRIBUTOR PROGRAM: YOUNG VOICES' CONTRIBUTOR PROGRAM PROVIDES PRO BONO OP-ED EDITING, PITCHING, AND BROADCAST INTERVIEW PLACEMENT SERVICES TO TALENTED WRITERS AGES 18-35 KNOWLEDGEABLE IN THE CLASSICAL LIBERAL TRADITION. OUR FISCAL YEAR 2023 WAS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL TO DATE FOR THE PROGRAM, SUCCESSFULLY PLACING 1,929 MEDIA HITS (E.G. OP-ED, RADIO, TV, PODCAST, ETC.) IN NOTED OUTLETS INCLUDING FOX NEWS, USA TODAY, AND THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, REACHING AN ESTIMATED AUDIENCE OF 74 MILLION. BEYOND OUR ENTRY-LEVEL PLACEMENT SERVICES, YOUNG VOICES ALSO OFFERS CONTINUING EDUCATION AND MENTORSHIP SERVICES FOR THE TOP TALENTS IN OUR PROGRAM, INCLUDING FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS FOR PROFESSIONAL MENTORSHIP AND AN INCUBATOR PROGRAM FOR PODCAST AND STREAMING VIDEO HOSTS.
HUMAN DIGNITY FELLOWSHIP:YV AIMS TO AMPLIFY THE VOICES OF YOUNG PEOPLE PUSHING BACK AGAINST STATISM IN EUROPE. THROUGH TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP, YV WILL SHOWCASE YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE CHAMPIONING FREEDOM IN EUROPE'S LEAST FREE COUNTRIES. THEY WILL WRITE AND PUBLISH OP-EDS IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA IN THEIR COUNTRIES, STANDING UP FOR PROPERTY RIGHTS, ECONOMIC FREEDOM, AND EQUALITY BEFORE THE LAW. THE RESULT WILL BE A CHORUS OF COORDINATED BUT DISTINCT YOUNG VOICES WHO PROCLAIM THE CAUSE OF FREEDOM AND DIGNITY IN THE COUNTRIES WHERE THEY ARE MOST SORELY LACKING.
THE DISSIDENT PROJECT: THE DISSIDENT PROJECT IS A SPEAKER'S BUREAU BY YOUNG VOICES THAT AMPLIFIES THE VOICES OF U.S. IMMIGRANTS WHO SURVIVED TYRANNICAL REGIMES TO REMIND AMERICANS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF FREEDOM. WE OFFER HIGH SCHOOLS FREE TALKS FROM A GROWING ROSTER OF 12 SPEAKERS TO SHARE THEIR HEROIC STORIES OF ESCAPE AND FINDING A NEW HOME IN AMERICA. AS OF JULY 2023, WE HAVE COMPLETED 42 TALKS IN FRONT OF 12,000+ PEOPLE. IN 2023, WE HAVE AMBITIOUS PLANS TO SCALE UP THE PROJECT, MAKING 75 CLASSROOM APPEARANCES, OFFERING FREE LESSON PLANS, LAUNCHING AN ESSAY CONTEST, AND MORE.
SOCIAL MOBILITY FELLOWSHIP:THE FELLOWSHIP RAN FROM SEPTEMBER 2023 THROUGH FEBRUARY 2024. EIGHT WRITERS, SELECTED THROUGH AN APPLICATION PROCESS, EACH WROTE TWO STORIES FEATURING ORIGINAL REPORTING ON THE FELLOWSHIP'S SUBCATEGORIES OF POVERTY ALLEVIATION, CONSUMER EMPOWERMENT, AND ENTREPRENEURIAL FREEDOM. THE FELLOWSHIP WAS REMARKABLY EFFECTIVE AT AMPLIFYING BENEFICIAL POLICIES AND TRAINING LIFELONG ADVOCATES FOR SOCIAL MOBILITY.
