OUR LARGEST FUNDRAISER IS OUR ANNUAL COMMUNITY BIRTHDAY CALENDAR. THE COMMUNITY BUSINESSES PURCHASE ADVERTISING SPACE ON THE CALENDAR AND THE PEOPLE OF THE COMMUNITY ARE ABLE TO LIST BIRTHDAYS, ANNIVERSARIES, IN MEMORY OF, AND COMMUNITY EVENTS ON THE DATE SQUARES OF THE CALENDAR. WE THEN SELL THE CALENDAR TO PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY. IT MAKES PEOPLE VERY AWARE OF OUR LIBRARY AND IT'S FUNCTIONS AND ALSO OF THE BUSINESSES AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE IN OUR SMALL COMMUNITY. WE HAVE ABOUT 42 BUSINESSES AND 60-70 PEOPLE PARTICIPATING IN THE CALENDAR EACH YEAR. WE ALSO KEEP EXTRA COPIES AVAILABLE TO SELL IN OUR BRANCH LIBRARY. THE MONEY WE RAISE FROM THE SALE OF THE CALENDARS AND THE ADVERTISING IS WHAT WE USE EACH YEAR TO DONATE TO THE DOLLY PARTON IMAGINATION LIBRARY.
