IN 2022 WE ACCOMPLISHED THE FOLLOWING:- WE ARE PROUD TO HAVE HAD 22 SECUNDARIA, 23 PREPARATORIA AND 11 UNIVERSITY STUDENTS GRADUATE FROM OUR PROGRAM IN 2022, AND 5 OBTAINED THEIR TITULO. THIRTY OF OUR PREPA (HIGH SCHOOL) GRADUATES HAVE INDICATED A DESIRE TO GO ON TO UNIVERSITY MOST OF WHOM HAVE A 9-POINT GRADE AVERAGE OR BETTER. IN TOTAL WE ASSISTED 170 GIRLS IN 2022.- WITH PRO BONO ADVICE FROM A FUNDRAISING EXPERT, WE REACHED OUT TO OUR REGULAR DONORS AND MOTIVATED OUR EXECUTIVE BOARD TO REACH OUT TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND WERE ABLE TO EXCEED OUR FUNDRAISING SOLICITATION EXPECTATIONS AND ATTRACT NEW DONORS TO OUR PROGRAM.- WE HAD THE PRO BONO ASSISTANCE FROM A PROFESSIONAL GRANT RESEARCHER WHO HAS BEEN BEATING THE BUSHES FOR NEW GRANT PROSPECTS.- WITH CONTINUED PROGRESS TOWARDS A MORE DATA-DRIVEN ORGANIZATION INCLUDING PRO BONO TECHNICAL ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE WE CONTINUE TO IMPROVE OUR DATABASE SYSTEMS THAT HELP US KNOW OUR STUDENTS AND DONORS BETTER. THIS YEAR, MOTIVATED IN PART BY THE PANDEMIC, WE MADE SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENTS IN OUR ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS, INCLUDING SURVEY CAPABILITIES, WHICH ARE HELPING US BETTER UNDERSTAND OUR STUDENTS NEEDS AND MONITOR THEIR PROGRESS.- WE ORGANIZED ONE LARGE EVENT, AND OTHER SMALLER ONES IN SAN MIGUEL IN THE SAN MIGUEL COMMUNITY. TOGETHER THESE EVENTS IN 2022 RAISED FUNDS SUFFICIENT TO COVER OUR OVERHEAD FOR THE YEAR.- OUR OUTREACH INCLUDED 2 ARTICLES FOR THE LOCAL SAN MIGUEL NEWSPAPER, AS WELL AS 2 REGULAR NEWSLETTERS TO OUR MANY FRIENDS IN MEXICO, CANADA, THE US AND ELSEWHERE TO KEEP THEM UP TO DATE ON OUR PROGRAM AND ENCOURAGE THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT. - WE APPLIED FOR AND GOT GRANT FUNDING OF $14,000 USD FROM 2 GRANT AGENCIES. - WE PUT MECHANISMS AND INFORMATION IN PLACE TO SOLICIT AND ADVISE PROSPECTIVE LEGACY DONORS WHO WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE MUJERES EN CAMBIO CAUSE CARRIED ON WELL AFTER THEY ARE GONE. WE ENCOURAGE PROSPECTIVE LEGACY DONORS TO NAME MUJERES EN CAMBIO IN THEIR WILL. LEGACY DONATIONS CAN PROVIDE SUCH DONORS AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEAVE A LARGE DONATION THAT EARLIER MAY HAVE BEEN BEYOND THEIR REACH.- OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH AMISTAD CANADA CONTINUED TO BEAR FRUIT WITH AN EXPANDED DONOR BASE IN CANADA.
