HELD BI-ANNUAL AIR SHOW AT LOCAL AIRPORT, WITH AN ATTENDANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 7,000 PERSONS, SEVEN MAIN PERFORMING ACTS, AND ABOUT 80 VOLUNTEERS FACILITATING VARIOUS AND NECESSARY ASPECTS OF THE SHOW PRODUCTION. VARIOUS AGENCIES PARTICIPATED AT SHOW SUCH AS SEARCH AND RESCUE, CITY POLICE, CHP, AND SHERIFF'S OFFICE TO PROMOTE AND PROVIDE PUBLIC SAFETY INFORMATION AND ITEMS OF INTEREST SUCH AS HELICOPTERS ON DISPLAY. VARIOUS LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WERE PRESENT TO PROMOTE AND INFORM THE PUBLIC OF SERVICES OFFERED. ACTIVITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR YOUNG CHILDREN WAS PROVIDED. DONATIONS OF $2,530 FROM AIR SHOW'S NET PROCEEDS WERE MADE TO LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.IN ADDITION, A NEW PROGRAM WAS ESTABLISHED AS A MONTHLY EVENING EVENT IN THE SUMMER, "FRIDAY FLYDAYS," OFFERED TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. UNIQUE AIRCRAFTS ARE ON DISPLAY AND AIRPLANE RIDES ARE AVAILABLE. FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT IS PROVIDED. PUBLIC SAFETY AGENCIES OR VARIOUS LOCAL NON-PROFITS ARE ALSO PRESENT TO OFFER INFORMATION AND ITEMS OF INTEREST.
