THE $35,298 OF PROGRAM EXPENSES INCURRED IN 2016 SUPPORTED H2H'S FIRST SERVICE TRIP TO SUMPANGO, GUATEMALA, IN JANUARY OF 2017. FROM JANUARY 7TH TO 15TH, 2017, A GROUP OF 26 ADULT PARTICIPANTS (COLLEGE STUDENTS AND OLDER) PROVIDED RELIEF TO THE COMMUNITY OF SUMPANGO BY: 1. BUILDING THREE 12' X 16' CONCRETE BLOCK HOMES FROM START TO FINISH FOR FAMILIES IN NEED; 2. BUILDING SIX STURDY BUNK BEDS, INCLUDING MATTRESSES, WHICH WERE DISTRIBUTED TO ADDITIONAL FAMILIES IN NEED; 3. PROVIDING CARE TO HIV+ CHILDREN AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT TO THE CATHOLIC NUNS THAT RUN THE HOGAR MADRE ANNA VITIELLO ORPHANAGE; AND 4. PROVIDING COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL TO THE LOCAL SUMPANGO COMMUNITY THROUGH THE BUSCA A DIOS CHURCH.
