TO BUILD A CONSENSUS AMONG KEY STAKEHOLDERS, DECISION-MAKERS AND PUBLIC POLICY INFLUENCERS TO LAUNCH A COORDINATED, COMPREHENSIVE, EXPEDIENT AND ADEQUATELY FUNDED EFFORT THAT WILL MAKE THE NATION'S ELECTRIC GRID MORE RESILIENT AND MORE RESISTANT TO ALL EXTERNAL THREATS. THE NATIONAL PROGRAM MUST ALSO ENSURE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ENHANCED POWER RESTORATION AND RECOVERY COMPONENT FOR ALL GRID OPERATIONS INCLUDING COMMUNICATIONS PROTOCOLS TO FACILITATE RECOVERY.

POP CONDUCTED A HIGH-PROFILE WEBINAR ON THE CYBERSPACE SOLARIUM COMMISSION REPORT, WHICH WAS ATTENDED BY 180 REGULATORY AGENCY AND UTILITY PARTICIPANTS FROM ALL 50 STATES- FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE INITIATIVES: PROVIDED INPUT AND ADVOCATED FOR PASSAGE IN THE SENATE ENERGY & NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE OF PROVISIONS MANDATING CYBERSECURITY INVESTMENTS, GRANT PROGRAMS TO ASSIST RURAL AND MUNICIPAL UTILITIES, AND BROADER AND MORE COMPREHENSIVE INFORMATION SHARING ON CYBER RISKS. ALL THREE PROVISIONS WERE INCLUDED IN THE COMMITTEE'S COMPREHENSIVE ENERGY PACKAGE - CYBERSPACE SOLARIUM COMMISSION: THE CYBERSPACE SOLARIUM COMMISSION (CSC) WAS ESTABLISHED IN THE JOHN S.
