SENECA VILLAGE MONTESSORI SCHOOL IS AN AFRICAN CENTERED PRESCHOOL BUILT ON THE MONTESSORI PHILOSOPHY THAT STRIVES TO NOURISH THE MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT OF ITS STUDENTS. OUR MISSION IS TO PROMOTE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, AND WORK TOWARD INSTILLING A STRONG SENSE OF SELF , CULTURAL IDENTITY, AND BELONGING IN OUR STUDENTS. AS AN AUTHENTIC MONTESSORI SCHOOL, OUR CURRICULUM AND PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO BUILD A SOLID FOUNDATION IN ACADEMICS, AS WELL AS SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, PHYSICAL AND MORAL DEVELOPMENT. WE WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PARENTS, COMMUNICATING CLOSELY, ENCOURAGING FAMILY INVOLVEMENT IN THE PROGRAM AND OFFERING SUPPORT AND EDUCATION ON ISSUES RELATING TO CHILD DEVELOPMENT AND EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION. ENROLLED 30 STUDENTS THAT WILL ATTENDED FOR THE 2023-2024 ACADEMIC YEAR. OF THOSE 30 STUDENTS, 15 OF THEM WERE LOW INCOME FAMILIES USING CITY AND STATE FUNDED VOUCHERS TO COVER TUITION. THIS ALLOWS FOR 15 MINORITY AND LOW INCOME FAMILIES TO CONTINUE AND/OR SEEK EMPLOYMENT. THE DIFFERENCE OF THE ANNUAL TUITION WAS NOT CHARGED TO THOSE FAMILIES.
