THE MISSION OF THE KENTUCKY INSTITUTE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDIES, INC. - A NON-PROFIT CONSORTIUM OF COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES BASED AT WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY - IS TO PROVIDE QUALITY EDUCATION IN AN INTERNATIONAL SETTING. IN 2022, KIIS RESUMED NEAR NORMAL OPERATIONS OF ITS PORTFOLIO OF STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS. THAT SAID, THE ONGOING COVID-19 PANDEMIC DID PREVENT KIIS FROM OPERATING SEVERAL PROGRAMS IN 2022, WHICH MEANT FEWER STUDENTS OVERALL PARTICIPATED THAN IN KIIS LAST PRE-COVID-19 YEAR (2019). UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES, 2022 WAS A STRONG YEAR, PARTICULARLY COMPARED TO 2020 AND 2021.
