ELDER ORPHAN CARE EXISTS TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO OLDER ADULTS IN NEED. WE PARTNER WITH VIOREL AND FLORICA PASCA AND MIRCEA AND DANA BADEA IN ROMANIA TO HELP RAISE AWARENESS AND FUNDS TO ASSIST IN PROVIDING SHELTER, NUTRITION, MEDICAL CARE AND GOD'S LOVE TO HUNDREDS OF ELDERLY AND FRAIL, WHO WOULD OTHERWISE BE HOMELESS. IN CABARRUS AND ROWAN COUNTIES OF NORTH CAROLINA, WE PARTNER WITH OTHER SENIOR SERVING ORGANIZATIONS TO HELP ALLEVIATE ISOLATION AMONG OLDER ADULTS; PROVIDE PURPOSEFUL ACTIVITIES; HELP OLDER ADULTS IN NEED TO AGE SAFELY IN PLACE AND PROVIDE ASSISTANCE AND PROGRAMS THAT ARE BOTH PRACTICAL AND ENCOURAGING.

ROMANIA OUTREACH PROGRAM: IN ROMANIA, WE PARTNER WITH NATIONALS TO PROVIDE FUNDS AND ASSISTANCE IN SECURING SHELTER, NUTRITION, MEDICAL CARE, OTHER PRACTICAL AID AND GOD'S LOVE FOR NEARLY 600 ELDERLY AND FRAIL WHO WOULD OTHERWISE BE HOMELESS. EOC TEAMS TRAVEL ROMANIA TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT.
CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS OF JOY PROGRAM: IN BOTH ROMANIA AND NORTH CAROLINA, EOC IMPACTS THE LIVES OF NEARLY 1,200 OLDER ADULTS IN NEED THROUGH OUR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS STOCKING OF JOY PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES A STOCKING OR TOTE BAG FULL OF FUN AND PRACTICAL ITEMS. THESE ARE DELIVERED BY VOLUNTEERS, WHICH ALLOW US TO NOTE OTHER WAYS THEY MAY NEED ASSISTANCE AS WE ARE IN THEIR HOMES.
SAFE AND LOVED AT HOME PROGRAM: IN NORTH CAROLINA, WE PROVIDE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY DIRECTED HOME SAFETY ASSESSMENTS AND PROVIDE MINOR UPGRADES AND MODIFICATIONS ALLOWING OLDER ADULTS IN NEED TO AGE IN PLACE SAFELY. SUBSEQUENTLY, WE PARTNER WITH VOLUNTEERS WHO MAKE REGULAR HOUSE CALLS, HELPING COMBAT ISOLATION.
