MENTORING: CONFIDENCE CLUB PROVIDES GIRLS WITH A POSITIVE ADULT ROLE MODEL AND CREATES A SAFE SPACE FOR GIRLS TO DEVELOP SELF-ESTEEM AND SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE. CONFIDENCE CLUB IS A FACILITATED DISCUSSION GROUP THAT CREATES A BRAVE SPACE FOR GIRLS. THE SMALL GROUP MEETS WEEKLY WITH A PROFESSIONAL MENTOR TO SHARE CONCERNS AND INTERESTS. THE CURRICULUM-BASED PROGRAM BUILDS SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND SELF-ESTEEM, THE BUILDING BLOCKS OF A CONFIDENT LEADER.


LIVEGIRL LEAGUE: THE PURPOSE OF THE LEAGUE IS TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO "LEAD CHANGE. BE CHANGED." YOU WILL LEARN NEW TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP SKILLS THAT WILL ALLOW YOU TO BE A CONFIDENT LEADER AND IMPLEMENT POSITIVE CHANGE IN YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY.LEADERSHIP: OUR LIVEGIRL LEADERSHIP COUNCIL (LLC) IS A TRULY AMAZING GROUP OF DIVERSE HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS FROM ACROSS CONNECTICUT WHO ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT FEMALE EMPOWERMENT AND GENDER EQUALITY. THE GOAL OF THE LEADERSHIP COUNCIL IS TO WORK ON STUDENT-LED CHANGE. THE STUDENTS IN THIS PROGRAM WILL LEAVE FEELING CONFIDENT TO SET THE DIRECTION OF LIVEGIRL'S HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMMING AND TO ALSO MAKE CHANGE IN THEIR COMMUNITY WITH LIVEGIRL'S SUPPORT.OUR LEADERSHIP SUMMITS BRING TOGETHER MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS FROM VARIOUS PARTS OF CONNECTICUT (BRIDGEPORT, STAMFORD, HARTFORD, NORWALK, NEW CANAAN, WATERBURY, ETC.) FOR A VARIETY OF EMPOWERING LEARNING EXPERIENCES THAT ENCOURAGE GIRLS TO EXPLORE THEIR POTENTIAL AND BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES. ALL SUMMITS FEATURE A KEYNOTE SPEAKER, MENTORING, & FUN TEAM-BUILDING ACTIVITIES.


SHE WORKS: SHE WORKS EQUIPS DIVERSE, YOUNG WOMEN WITH CAREER-READINESS SKILLS AND CONNECTS THEM WITH INTERNSHIPS AT COMPANIES THAT DEMONSTRATE FEMALE LEADERSHIP. SHE WORKS WILL PROVIDE THE EDUCATION, TOOLS, AND RESOURCES THAT YOUNG WOMEN NEED TO THRIVE. SKILLS GAINED THROUGH THE SHE WORKS PROGRAM INCLUDE: RESUME-BUILDING/WRITING, INTERVIEWING, NETWORKING, PUBLIC SPEAKING, AND ACCESS TO CAREER DEVELOPMENT TOOLS. SHE WORKS IS AN ACCREDITED, EQUAL OPPORTUNITY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM WITH BOTH PAID AND UNPAID INTERNSHIPS AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES (DETERMINED BY EMPLOYER).
