TO PROVIDE OUR STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY WITH ARTISTIC EXPERIENCES THAT EDUCATE, ENRICH AND ENTERTAIN, BY SECURING RESOURCES FOR THE CASTRO VALLEY CENTER FOR THE ARTS.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE FOUNDATION GIFTED $45,675 TO THE CASTRO VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT TO HELP PAY FOR A PART TIME MANAGER FOR THE THEATER.THE FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDED $30,735 TO THE CASTRO VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A PROJECTOR AND OTHER EQUIPMENT FOR USE IN THE CENTER FOR THE ARTS THEATER.THE FOUNDATION ALSO GIFTED $1,000 TO THE CASTRO VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR PROGRAM.


PRESENTED FOUR SHOWS TO THE COMMUNITY IN A 516 SEAT THEATER: BEEGES GOLD TRIBUTE BANK; IN THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS; MAYBE THIS TIME; AND MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET.


GRADUATING SENIORS FROM CVHS WHO HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN THE MUSIC, DRAMA, CHOIR AND VISUAL ARTS DEPARTMENTS/PROGRAMS, AS WELL AS THE TECHNICAL CONTROLS (SOUND AND LIGHTING) OF THE THEATER ARE ELIGIBLE FOR SCHOLARSHIPS. UP TO SIX SCHOLARSHIPS ARE GIVEN EACH YEAR. THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE REVIEWS ALL APPLICATIONS AND SELECTS THE RECIPIENTS. FIVE SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED IN MAY 2022.
