FEMA SAFER FY19 GRANT - TO PROVIDE MONTHLY TRAINING TO STATEWIDE LOCAL FIREFIGHTERS AND VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS. INCLUDING LEADERSHIP, RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION. TO ASSURE COMMUNITIES HAVE ADEQUATE PROTECTION FROM FIRE AND FIRE-RELATED HAZARDS. TO IMPROVE STAFFING AND DEPLOYMENT CAPABILITIES, SO THAT THEY MAY RESPOND TO EMERGENCIES MORE EFFECTIVELY AND SAFELY. TO ASSURE A REDUCTION IN RESPONSE TIMES AND AN INCREASE IN TRAINED PERSONNEL AT THE INCIDENT SCENE.
