COUNSELING: PROVIDED PROFESSIONAL COUSELING FOR WOMEN, CHILDREN, AND MEN IN THE COMMUNITY, FREE OF CHARGE.
YWCA MERCY HOME: THE HOME HAS SERVED THOUSANDS OF VICTIMS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS INCLUDING: SHELTERING OVER 150 VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, PROVIDING GROUP SUPPORT/TREATMENT TO OVER 200 ADULTS AND CHILDREN, GIVING CRISIS COUNSELING, INFORMATION AND REFERRAL TO NEARLY 2,000 COMMUNITY MEMBERS THROUGH A 24-HOUR TOLL-FREE HOTLINE, REACHING HUNDREDS OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND SCHOOL CHILDREN THROUGH OUTREACH EFFORTS, AND PROVIDING LEGAL, CULTURAL, AND PERSONAL ADVOCACY TO WELL OVER 1200 VICTIMS.
Y'S BUYS: CLOTHING CONSIGNMENT SHOP OF USED CLOTHING FOR LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS: THIS THRIFT STORE SERVED OVER 2,500 COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN CURRENT FISCAL YEAR WITH GOOD QUALITY, PRE-OWNED CLOTHING AT A LOW COST. THIS STORE ALSO SERVED MANY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS AND OTHERS IN NEED WITH DONATED CLOTHING FREE OF CHARGE.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN: PROVIDED PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL GROWTH CLASSES FOR OVER 800 ADULTS AND CHILDREN. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT AT LEAST 750 OF THE CLASS ATTENDEES WERE LOW INCOME.
