THE MILTON ARTISTS GUILD WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1988 WITH A MISSION OF SHARING CREATIVE ENDEAVORS WITH OTHER ARTISTS, PROMOTING ARTISTIC EXPRESSION AND ENCOURAGING EACH MEMBER TO VALUE TIME SPENT CREATING.

OPERATION OF AN ART CENTER AND GALLERY IN MILTON, VT. THE ART CENTER OFFERS A PERMANENT LOCATION FOR LOCAL ARTISTS TO CREATE AND DISPLAY THEIR WORKS. THE CENTER IS STAFFED BY FIVE PART-TIME EMPLOYEES AND ONE FULL-TIME EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AS WELL AS BY VOLUNTEERS. THE CENTER IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND ADMISSION IS FREE. APPROXIMATELY 6,500 PEOPLE VISITED THE ART CENTER IN 2021.
SOCIAL SUNDAYS, A FREE WEEKLY ART PROJECT, WHICH DUE TO COVID WERE HELD REMOTELY FOR 2021, WERE HELD YEAR ROUND WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE SPARK! CONNECTING COMMUNITY GRANT. THESE ART PROJECTS WERE FOCUSED ON FAMILIES, AND THEIR CHILDREN FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION IN FREE WEEKLY ART KITS THAT WERE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP AT THE GALLERY EVERY WEEK. FAMILIES WERE GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PROJECT AS WELL AS VIDEOS TO SEE HOW THE PROJECTS WERE COMPLETED. WE SERVED OVER 65 FAMILIES AND DISTRIBUTED OVER 750 2-PERSON KITS OVER 50 WEEKS OF FREE CLASSES.
NUMEROUS MONTHLY WORKSHOPS ARE OFFERED TO THE PUBLIC, BOTH IN PERSON AND ONLINE DUE TO COVID. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, SEVERAL THEMED EVENTS AND WORKSHOPS WERE OFFERED, ESPECIALLY NEAR MAJOR HOLIDAYS (E.G. CHRISTMAS, NEW YEARS, ETC.). OVER 100 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN THE WORKSHOPS DURING 2021.
