THE MILTON ARTISTS GUILD WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1988 WITH A MISSION OF SHARING CREATIVE ENDEAVORS WITH OTHER ARTISTS, PROMOTING ARTISTIC EXPRESSION AND ENCOURAGING EACH MEMBER TO VALUE TIME SPENT CREATING.

OPERATION OF AN ART CENTER AND GALLERY IN MILTON, VT. THE ART CENTER OFFERS A PERMANENT LOCATION FOR LOCAL ARTISTS TO CREATE AND DISPLAY THEIR WORKS. THE CENTER IS STAFFED BY FIVE PART-TIME EMPLOYEES AND ONE FULL-TIME EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AS WELL AS BY VOLUNTEERS. THE CENTER IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND ADMISSION IS FREE. APPROXIMATELY 6,750 PEOPLE VISITED THE ART CENTER IN 2022.


SOCIAL SUNDAYS, A FREE WEEKLY ART PROGRAM, WAS HELD YEAR-ROUND WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE VERMONT FEDERAL CREDIT UNION AS A SPONSOR. THESE ART PROJECTS WERE FOCUSED ON FAMILIES AND THEIR CHILDREN FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION IN FREE WEEKLY ART AND CRAFT PROJECTS TAUGHT BY A ROTATION OF LOCAL ARTISTS AS INSTRUCTORS. FAMILIES WERE GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PROJECT AND THOSE WHO DIDNT FEEL COMFORTABLE BEING IN PERSON DUE TO COVID-19 WERE ABLE TO TAKE HOME A KIT TO MAKE THE PROJECT AT HOME. WE SERVED OVER 65 FAMILIES AND OVER 200 KIDS DURING THE 50 WEEKS OF FREE CLASSES DURING 2022.


NUMEROUS MONTHLY WORKSHOPS ARE OFFERED TO THE PUBLIC, BOTH IN PERSON AND ONLINE DUE TO COVID. THESE INCLUDE PAINTING CLASSES, CRAFTING, ART BUSINESS, AND MORE. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, SEVERAL THEMED EVENTS AND WORKSHOPS WERE OFFERED, ESPECIALLY NEAR MAJOR HOLIDAYS. OVER 75 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN THE WORKSHOPS DURING 2022.
