WE CONTINUED TO HELP SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES WITH OUR TREE PLANTING PROGRAMS. BY PARTNERING WITH NEIGHBORHOOD ORGANIZATIONS, WE CONTINUED TO PLANT TREES AT HOMES, IN PARKS, AND IN PLANTING STRIPS ALONG STREETS. TREES PROVIDE A BUFFER BETWEEN TRAFFIC AND SIDEWALKS WHILE PROVIDING SHADE DURING HOT SUMMER MONTHS AND BY ABSORBING POLLUTANTS IN THE URBAN ENVIRONMENT.
