STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS - VIRGINIA FORESTRY EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION (VFEF) CONTRIBUTES BOARD APPROVED FUNDS TO VIRGINIA TECH'S FORESTRY SCHOOL AND RELIES ON THE SCHOOL'S JUDGEMENT AS TO WHO SHOULD RECEIVE THE INDIVIDUAL SCHOLARSHIPS. VIRGINIA TECH SENDS A LIST OF RECIPIENTS TO VFEF TO SUPPORT THE SCHOLARSHIP DISBURSEMENT.


SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS - REPRESENTS VARIOUS PRIZES AND AWARDS GIVEN TO 4-H, INTERNET WOODY PLANTS AND YOUTH EDUCATION, TEACHERS TOURS SE VIRGINIA, AND HOLIDAY LAKE FORESTRY CAMP FOR ACTIVITIES. THESE GROUPS SPONSOR ACTIVITIES RELATING TO THE FORESTRY INDUSTRY, CONSERVATION, SERVICES TO EDUCATE YOUTH ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND FOREST PRODUCTS, AND OTHER RELATED EXPENSES.
