GRIFFIN-SPALDING COUNTY PARTNERS IN EDUCATION, INC. SERVES AS THE CONDUIT FOR GRANT FUNDS PROVIDED BY THE GRIFFIN-SPALDING HOSPITAL AUTHORITY TO THE GRIFFIN-SPALDING COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM. THE FUNDS ARE USED TO EMPLOY LICENSED NURSES IN THE GRIFFIN-SPALDING PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
GRANTS ARE AWARDED TO CLASSROOM TEACHERS AS PART OF A COMPETITIVE APPLICATION PROCESS. TEACHERS USE THE FUNDS TO PURCHASE MATERIALS NEEDED FOR SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONAL PROJECTS OR FOR FIELD TRIPS AUGMENTING CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION.
